A Message from Michigan District 2 Little League

On behalf of all of the Presidents for our local Little Leagues, we want to share with you the limited information available at this time.  Beyond anything else, we hope all of our Little League families, players, and their fans remain healthy and safe throughout the current health scare.  We have to admit that these past couple of weeks have been challenging for everyone - and we would love nothing more than to get out on the fields and play some ball!

We are following the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), Little League International, and the State of Michigan Governor's recommendations to avoid any/all gatherings of people until at least May 11, 2020.  This means no team gathering (practices, meet your coach meetings, picture days, games, etc.) until we get the go-ahead from these governing bodies.

We fully realize that as the weather starts to get nice in Michigan - the pressure is overwhelming to get out to the fields and play the game we love!  We know our parents have a difficult job keeping their families' spirits up.  Please trust that we will do everything in our power to make sure that our Little League families have a Softball and Baseball season - even if we have to make some last-minute modifications.  We are optimistic that there will be some form of season for 2020.

Thank you for your patience - we truly appreciate everyone.  We promise to share more information as it becomes available.  Thank you for your patience - we truly appreciate everyone and your commitment to Little League. We can't wait to get back on the fields and play ball!
